Maui Workshop – Jan 19, 2011

The first workshop on the RSM opportunities on Maui was held on Wednesday, January 19th from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Learning Center, Kihei. The workshop provided updates on our RSM efforts to date and opportunities for discussion of optimizing use of sediment resources on Maui. Presentations were made on coastal processes modeling, offshore sand source inventories, sediment budgets and RSM plans for each region.
